Save TikTok Stories before they disappear
TikTok Stories are short clips that live for 24 hours and then vanish. How to copy the link of a TikTok Story
Stories don’t sit in the normal video grid, so the link is in a slightly different place:
- Open the TikTok app and tap a profile picture with a coloured ring. That ring means the account has a Story live.
- While the Story plays, tap Share (the arrow, or the three dots on some versions).
- Choose Copy link.
- Paste it into the box above and tap Download HD.
If an account has several Story clips, each one has its own link. Copy and download them one by one.
Stories on iPhone, Android and PC
On Android, the Story is saved to Downloads and appears in your gallery. On iPhone, Safari puts it in Files › Downloads; open it and choose Save Video to move it to Photos. On a computer, Stories can be opened on tiktok.com from the profile page, and the address bar link works the same way.
When a Story can’t be downloaded
- It expired. After 24 hours there is nothing left to download.
- The account is private or the Story is for friends only.
- The creator deleted it before the 24 hours were up.
If a link fails, open it in a private browser window. If you can’t see the Story there, SSSTikTok can’t either.
Respect people’s Stories
Stories are personal by design: they’re meant to disappear. Save them for yourself, and ask before you share someone else’s Story anywhere else.
